Matthew Lundeen

Matthew is a claims clerk on the Illinois Public Risk Fund team. He is a native Illinoisan born and raised in the Chicagoland suburbs. Having previously worked in logistics, Matthew transitioned to workers’ comp with the aim of employing his skillset for data entry in a field where he could be of benefit to a team in need of a versatile, fast learner. He has previously worked as a custodian, a teacher’s aide and a radio host, among other small jobs here and there.

In his free time, Matthew is a media critic, blogger and fiction writer, fueled by the inspiration of peers in his field across a variety of mediums. He is an enthusiast of history, art, and a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, all of which fuels his passion for storytelling and commentary, the writing skills from which he subsequently channels into his career, striving to present himself clearly, earnestly, and professionally in all aspects of his job.
