Thalia Nevels

Thalia is a Claims Advocate on the Illinois Public Risk Fund team. She is a native Californian who moved to Illinois in 1995.

Thalia has been a workers comp claims professional since 1988, starting her workers comp career in San Francisco, CA as a clerk for Wausau Insurance. She has her CCLS (Casualty Claims Law designation) and has been licensed in over 25 states to perform workers compensation claims. This experience provides a unique outlook on several different workers compensation claims. She has dealt with food service, hospital, construction, trucking, farming, school buses, airline, and municipality type of claims.

Thalia understands the delicate position of claims handling as she protects her client as well as having the patience and understanding with the injured worker.

In her free time, she is a total foodie. Enjoys trying and cooking different cuisine’s and enjoys reading books and spending time with family and friends.
