Jeff provides loss control services to the Northern and Central portions of Illinois and has been with Illinois Public Risk Fund for a total of five years. Jeff’s goal for our membership is to reduce both the frequency and severity of injuries to all employees through training/education and the development of corrections actions. Developing strong relationships is the foundation of everything he does, both professionally and personally.
Jeff is a Veteran of the US Army and served in combat during Desert Storm where he earned the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, an Army Achievement Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal. After being honorably discharged, Jeff returned home to Illinois and joined the Fire Service where he served for over 17 years as a Fire Officer. He retired after leading two large suburban districts as Fire Chief/Administrator and is IPRF’s fire services industry leader. Some areas he focused on while working in the fire service were safety, training, fire prevention, and technical rescue. He also taught at the College of DuPage and Moser College.
He received a BS in Fire Science Management from Southern Illinois University and a Masters in Organizational Development with a focus in organizational behavior from Benedictine University. Among the numerous fire certifications Jeff is a Certified Chief Fire Officer. His past
experiences give Jeff technical expertise in the areas of inspections, safety program development, training, and a variety of OSHA requirements.
Jeff and his wife have four children and he enjoys fishing and hunting.
